What is a fish pedicure?

An exotic pedicure therapy provided by our clever Garra rufa fish, which are also known as nibble fish or Dr fish that gently suck and nibble away dead and dry skin. The fish gently massage & exfoliate your feet, leaving your skin feeling amazingly smooth and rejuvenated.

What are the health benefits of Garra rufa fish therapy?

These clever fish can stimulate acupuncture points, helping to regulate the nervous system, relax the body and release fatigue. Your blood circulation and flow is also greatly increased during the treatment.

How does it feel?

Yes you can have the treatment, there is a constant supply of sterilised water so the treatment is perfectly safe and will actually provide relief from the symptoms of your wart/verruca and may help to get rid of it.

Is there any shared water in the Garra Rufa foot spa?

No, our tanks are individual foot spas. No water is shared with other clients. Each tank has its own filtration system for hygiene and maintenance reasons.

What do the Garra Rufa fish eat? Do they only have a diet of dead skin?

No, the fish have to be fed supplementary food to ensure they are healthy and thrive in these conditions.

Is it healthy for the fish to have them feeding on a constant and rapid basis?

Yes, This species of fish soon adapt to these conditions. As there are around 100 fish in each foot spa not all fish will feed at the same time, this allows the fish to rest when they want to. These fish have a high metabolism and are very active little creatures.
